This mediumship development group for beginners is aimed at people who wish to start their journey of psychic and mediumship development. The sessions will take you through the theory and practice of working with psychic energy and linking with spirit. Each person will go through this process at their own pace and no expectations are placed upon the level of attainment achieved at the end of the 9 week period that these sessions run. Sessions are a mixture of theory and practice but the sessions on Awakening, Shadow work and ethics will be more taught elements and discussion.
The course runs from Friday 10th October for 9 weeks. Please do NOT sign up if you can not commit to the 9 weeks of the course.
Attendees are expected to attend each session and arrive 5 minutes before the start of the session. The zoom room will close just before the opening prayer.
Structure of Theory and Practice Sessions
- Opening prayer – setting out intention
- Opening up process
- Meditation
- Taught element of the focus for the week (meditation and development of imagining skills, being in the moment and sensing spirit, ribbons, psychometry, auras, photos)
- Pairing of members to practice theory in breakout rooms or gallery style readings
- Closing down process
- Closing prayer
Standards for all development group sessions
General rules
As a participant you will be expected to be respectful of others at all times, i.e. no eye rolling, no interrupting, no negative talk about other mediums or other groups (this is a reflection on you not others). You will not be allowed into the session next time you want to join if you are disrespectful to others.
Role of the group leader
- Will outline the rules for the group each session
- Will open the session with intent and protection and similarly close the group and help people close their connection with Spirit
- Is in charge of the group, any problems should be discussed with them.
- Will manage the group being firm but fair.
- Will give everyone the chance to share the information they get
- Has the right to remove anyone who is rude, disrespectful, those interrupting other peoples messages.
- Has the right to step in and stop a message if negative energies are being expressed or brought into the circle.
Role of the participant
Arrive before the starting time.
When it’s your turn to give a message give as much information as possible before opening it up to the circle if you don’t know who the message is for.
Keep your messages brief, everyone needs a chance to give a message.
If one person has already claimed an opened up message, you can raise your virtual zoom hand but do not interrupt the message. Development Groups are about readers not you getting messages so allow the readers to practice without interruption.
If you do not feel comfortable with the attitude and the energy of the group simply leave and find another group.
